Electrical Engineer
Job Duties:
- Support Operations as required to achieve Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost objectives for the Facility. - Initiate, Develop, Justify, Plan, Implement, and Transition to Operations capital improvement projects. - Design and engineer machine and plant equipment modifications with precision and accuracy in all aspects. Installations should occur without unreasonable interruptions to Operations or unanticipated problems. - Support Maintenance and Operations with Electrical projects and troubleshooting of all key systems including Drives (AC Vector), PLC (Allen Bradley), HMI (Wonderware, Panelview), Plant floor control networks (ControlNet, DH+), Power distribution and control, and general-purpose industrial controls. - Assist in the development and support of an effective Planned Maintenance Program, focusing on the key electrical systems that require on-going monitoring, maintenance, and upgrading. - Maintain and modify all key production machine programming systems and software (RSLogix, Wonderware, Various drive programming packages). Interface with OEM and support contractors to ensure proper version control. - Assist Facility maintenance with the on-going operation and maintenance of general plant utilities and services. - Maintain orderly project files and continuously update equipment documentation. - Participate in Cross-Functional project teams.
Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Five years minimum experience. Strengths in electrical drives (AC digital drives), PLC systems and programming, Plant electrical power systems, Project Management. Knowledge of National Electric Code, Planned Maintenance, troubleshooting methods and practices. Prefer Engineer in Training (EIT).
